A Bellows Compensator or Expansion Joint is a flexible expansion joint used to compensate for thermal expansion, vibration, or movement in piping systems. It is typically made of a series of convolutions, or bellows, that are connected to flanges or fittings at each end.

Bellows compensators are designed to absorb axial, lateral, and angular movements, as well as thermal expansion and contraction, without transmitting any forces or moments to the connected piping or equipment.
