Product Description
Double flange limited expansion joint is a type of flexible pipe coupling designed to compensate for the movement and vibration in a piping system while also restraining the pressure thrust forces. The joint consists of two metal flanges connected by a flexible bellows element, which can absorb axial, lateral, and angular movements. The flanges are designed to be compatible with standard piping systems and can be bolted to adjacent flanges.
The limited expansion joint design features limit bolts or rods that restrict the axial movement of the bellows and prevent it from over-extending or collapsing under extreme pressure or temperature conditions. This design ensures a longer service life for the joint and reduces the risk of failure.
Double flange limited expansion joints are commonly used in applications where the piping system operates under high pressure, high temperature, or where vibration and movement are present.
